How to get to the Sydney Writers' Centre

We are only a couple of minutes from the CBD. This is one train stop from the Sydney CBD station of Wynyard, or one train stop from the North Sydney-CBD station of North Sydney.

By train:
We are only a few minutes walk from Milsons Point train station. When you come out of the station, exit on the Alfred Street side and walk up Alfred Street away from the harbour for three to four minutes. You will come to a roundabout at Lavender Street. Turn left onto Lavender Street and walk down the left hand side for about 100 metres to 55 Lavender Street (the building is on the corner just before Harbourview Crescent). When you get to the building, walk along the terrace to the right, past the café to the training rooms.

We are also only a five-minute walk from North Sydney train station.

Evening parking:
There is plenty of parking around us. There is metered parking on Alfred Street and Lavender Street but if you park a block or two away you will find unlimited parking.

Daytime parking:
There is some parking on Lavender Street and Alfred Street but it is predominantly 2-hour metered parking and, while fine for our shorter classes, may be difficult for full-day seminars. After 6pm a limited number of parking spaces near the Centre become non-restricted but be quick as these are popular.

There are parking stations in Milsons Point and North Sydney that are open during the day. For evening parking, the Wilson parking station at Greenwood Plaza in North Sydney (entry off Pacific Highway) offers parking at a flat rate of $10 if you enter after 6pm.*

Generally, it is most convenient to come by public transport.
