Sydney Writers' Centre Book Club
You’re invited …
Whether you're a fan of chick lit, crime fiction, literary novels, or books for young adults, as a reader you know
the joy of discovering a book you just can't put down, of having shelves overflowing with books, and of sharing your favourite reads with others.
The Sydney Writers' Centre wants to give our community of writers a chance to also share their love of reading so
we've now holding a book club, once a month here in Milsons Point.
Joining our community of readers will give you a chance to
review and discuss books with others, offer recommendations, and perhaps read something you wouldn't normally pick up. A book club is the perfect way to expand your reading, and perhaps reinvigorate your writing too.
The Sydney Writers’ Centre book club is a facilitated gathering of just 12 people. We think this is the perfect group size for discussions and analysis of the chosen books. Participants are asked to sign up for 3 consecutive months (and yes, you can sign up again at the end of that period). You’ll have a month to read each book.
We hope to see the book club become an integral part of our community so will only be charging a small amount for each participant to attend -
just $10 for each meeting, which will be donated to Doggie Rescue in full.
Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided but you are also welcome to buy coffee/cakes from the café next door.
ONLINE BOOK CLUB: Later this year, we'll also be launching an online version of this Book Club so that you can participate from anywhere in the world. So stay tuned!
